Spring, March to May: Cool and increasingly mild, with longer days, fresh greenery and spring flowers. Average daytime highs range from approximately 9°C in March to 15°C in May/48°F to 59°F. Weather can be changeable, with a mixture of sunshine and rainfall.

Summer, June to August: Mild and generally the warmest time of year, with long daylight hours and good conditions for exploring the lakes, villages and fells.
